One reliable bridge between MT5 and everything else you run
The DARKLIGHT FX Open API Bridge connects to your MetaTrader 5 server and gives your CRM, client area and internal systems a single, authenticated API for accounts, groups, balance operations and trade data.
Documentation is available to clients after sign-in. Documentation overview.
Direct trading-server integration is specialised and easy to get wrong
Connecting web applications directly to a trading server needs specialised native integration and a persistent, authenticated connection. Building and maintaining that in-house takes engineering time most brokerages would rather spend elsewhere.
Building it yourself
- Native server integration and connection management
- Manager credentials spread across scripts and servers
- Each new tool needs its own MT5 integration
- No single log of what was changed on the server
Using the bridge
- A managed connection to your MT5 server
- Manager credentials stored server-side in one place
- One documented API for the CRM and your own apps
- Requests logged and attributable
What the bridge does
Account provisioning
Create MT5 accounts with the correct group, leverage and client details, and return the login to the calling system.
Group mapping
Read the trading groups configured on your server so the CRM can offer and assign them correctly.
Balance operations
Post approved deposits, withdrawals and adjustments to client accounts as balance operations.
Account & trade data
Retrieve balance, equity, margin, open positions and closed deals for reporting, risk and commission calculation.
Event delivery
Push changes to your systems through webhooks so downstream tools don't have to poll the server.
Authenticated access
Every request uses credentials we issue to you; manager credentials never leave the server side.
What we need to connect
MT5 server access belongs to your brokerage and its platform licence, so these items come from you.
- You
MT5 server address
The address of your MT5 server (or the access point your platform provider gives you).
- You
Manager account
A dedicated manager login with permissions for the operations you want to automate — account creation, balance operations and data access.
- You
Network access
Any IP allow-listing your server or hosting provider requires for the bridge to connect.
- Us
Bridge setup & credentials
Bridge configuration, API credentials for your systems, documentation access and integration support.
Treat the manager login like a key to the vault
A manager account can change client balances, so we design around keeping it contained.
- Dedicated manager accountUse a manager login reserved for the bridge, with only the permissions it needs.
- Credentials kept server-sideManager credentials are never sent to browsers or client devices.
- Authenticated APICalling systems use API credentials issued to them, which can be rotated or revoked.
- Attributable changesBalance operations come from approved CRM workflows and are logged.
- Change controlTest new integrations against a demo server or demo group before going live.
Who it helps

Operations
Account creation and funding happen from approved workflows instead of manual MT5 Manager terminal work.
Management & risk
One controlled path to the trading server, with credentials in one place and a log of changes.
Open API Bridge questions
Do I need the bridge if I use the DARKLIGHT FX CRM?
The CRM uses the bridge for its MT5 operations, so it is part of a CRM deployment. You can also use the bridge on its own to connect your existing systems to MT5.
Where is the API documentation?
At api.thedarklight.in/docs. It is available to clients after sign-in with credentials from your account manager.
Can my own website create MT5 accounts through the bridge?
Yes. With REST & Client API access (Unlimited plan) your website or app can call the same operations the CRM uses.
Does the bridge work with MetaTrader 4?
This bridge is built for MetaTrader 5. We also manage MT4 and other platforms — see trading platforms.
Can we test before going live?
Yes — we recommend connecting to a demo server or demo groups first, then switching to live once your team has signed off.
